What are they?
Basically an interactive whiteboard is a large display that is projected from a computer. These tools can run software and can be created by teachers to use in their classrooms. These are typically mounted on the wall and is projected onto the screen on the wall.

Using an Interactive Whiteboard:
When I went into the library room with the interactive whiteboards, I was able to play around with some of the features included. I opened up a blank page and was able use the pens and coloring to create a picture or write words. I also used some of the picture stamps and other areas.



Thoughts & Student Use:
Interactive whiteboards are a very effective tool that are good tools to have in the classroom. It allows students to be creative and collaborative with their peers and teacher. It is largely displayed which makes visualizing easy. Teachers can also bring up websites and can create games on these whiteboards to engage and motivate students.
